When I told my friends and family that I am going on an Erasmus again – for the third time – they looked at me like I was out of my mind. They were asking me questions like: Wasn’t it enough already? Didn’t you already have your Erasmus?

And you know what? It wasn’t enough. I had every Erasmus semester in a different life phase and with a different mindset, just as I have with my current one. I believe that in every situation and at every time in your life you can have an unforgettable and meaningful Erasmus that shapes your life, if you have an open mind for self-awareness and development.

Green travelling is an amazing addition to this experience, because while you slow down during the travel you have a good chance to realise what you can expect and focus on during your time abroad. Having this time inside your head is a game changer when you arrive at a new place, especially when you want to understand the meaning of that phase of your life. Green travel is the frame that highlights the most important aspects of your stay, on the way there and also on the way back after the emotional farewell.
