The courier service from the German missions abroad will send postal ballot documents to the voters who registered for voting from abroad. The electoral documents, comprising of a ballot paper and a separate envelope which has been sealed and marked, contains the name(s) of the person(s) entitled to vote and other important personal data.

European Parliament elections
German citizens who have been residing in one of the Member States of the European Union for at least three months on the day of the election can take part in the European elections in their Member State of residence, or in their home country of Germany upon application. Germans living in countries outside of the EU must submit an application to be admitted in the electoral roll.
