Travelling from Rotterdam to Prague without flying felt like giving meaning to every kilometre of my Erasmus journey. I took the train from Rotterdam to Berlin, then a bus through the Czech countryside, and with every stop, I felt more connected to the world, to the people I met, and to myself. Choosing to travel sustainably was my way of helping the planet, but it also helped me grow.
What could have been a short flight turned into an adventure full of discovery: new cities, unexpected friendships, and moments of quiet freedom where I realised how much I enjoy moving slowly. Somewhere between stations, I stopped rushing and started feeling.
By the time I arrived in Prague, I was already in my Erasmus mindset, full of energy, excitement, and gratitude. That journey made me understand that going slow doesn't mean wasting time; it means truly living it.
