I absolutely adore the city; it is not too small nor too big, and it does not have many tourists. It is absolutely perfect. Santander offers beautiful beaches, water, nature, rocks, and there are DOGS everywhere! (You also get to walk dogs from the shelter during ESN Santander's dogwalks.) The locals are so incredibly kind and so fashionable, and the food is amazing. I came to Spain, sad that I had to start all over again. And I left with tears in my eyes, knowing that I got to meet the most amazing people with whom I had shared great memories that I will cherish forever. Watching Spain win the European Championship in a cafe, the tortilla evenings, the chocolaterías with their amazing churros, the picnics, the long walks, the many laughs, the dogs, the cat café, the Guppy trips, and of course the €5 kebabs. I'm so grateful for everything, and I wish everyone an incredible time in Santander.
