The voters residing abroad should verify and, if necessary, update the address associated with their Citizens, which may be done in person or online. At the day of the elections, voter has to present proof of identity (official ID or a passport)

European Parliament elections
Portugese citizens living abroad and registered on the electoral roll at the consular post are allowed to vote in person on the election days in the voting sections established in the consular missions abroad. It is possible to vote in advance (in person) at the embassies or consulated for certain categories of persons who are registered in Portugal but who are abroad temporarily, such as civil servants, students, researchers and professors at higher institutions abroad.
