It was a very good experience that I would repeat with no doubts. You meet a lot of new people and enjoy a lot during that time with many activities that the local ESN section organizes and also others with the friends you make there.

Cost of living
The cost of living, obviously, depends in the destination you choose. In my case, in Rome, all was more expensive than where I used to live, especially the rent of the flats and also the food in the supermarkets.
