Hey, I’m Corto Lambert and I did my Erasmus during the third year of my Bachelor’s degree at the University of Turin. I arrived in September 2020 and stayed until July 2021. You might think that the coronavirus would have ruined my experience, but in fact, it brought me closer to the local culture. It’s often through the hardest moments that the strongest bonds are formed, and five years later, I’m still in touch with many of my friends. I truly believe these friendships will last a lifetime.
It wasn’t just the people I met that made this experience one of the best year of my life, it was also a journey of self-discovery. I became more independent and autonomous, realized I could learn a new language and take exams in it, and most importantly, understood what genuinely interests me. After this experience, I even changed my academic path to focus on international relations.
I absolutely loved living in Turin. For me, it’s the ideal city for an exchange: high-quality education, a medium-sized city, close to both the sea and the mountains, elegant, and full of Italian culture and gastronomy. I can’t wait to live there again someday.
