If a few years ago someone had told me that a day would come when I’d not only achieve one of my biggest dreams but also overcome many of my fears, I wouldn’t have believed them.

Of course, we know travelling is wonderful, fun and exciting, but there is even more when it comes to spending half a year in a completely new place and creating your own home out of it. I realised that the whole process of settling down in an unfamiliar environment involves lots of things, it is not just about finding the perfect accommodation. It is about meeting new people, cultures and even getting to know diverse mindsets. It is about facing challenges, overcoming fears, such as travelling solo or going paddling before sunrise, even though you are not the best swimmer, and you will have a class presentation in two hours. It is about all the ways you can explore the uniqueness of your surroundings while getting to know yourself better. Speaking from my heart, I can assure anyone that an Erasmus mobility adventure is an enriching journey that will broaden your horizons and feed your soul in the most beautiful way possible.
