During my stay in Gothenburg, I grew a lot in a short period of time. I tasted independence and freedom, discovered what I wanted and what I didn't want. I was in the first place amazed by the degree of functionality and safeness of daily life. Then by the beauty and mystical atmosphere of calm yet lively natural areas. As for entertainment and personal growth, Gothenburg is full of opportunities and events, and thanks to ESN I was able to get access to a lot of them. I also had the chance, in terms of amount of free time and number of transportation links, to travel around the area and further. Last but definitely not least, this experience gave me the priceless opportunity to meet other international students like me, who, even if coming from far-away contexts, happened to be incredibly similar to me and made me feel at home: these bonds still remain!

Housing
Accommodation is one of the main worries when choosing to spend a period of time abroad. As a student in Gothenburg, I suggest to rent a room with SGS, who provides (directly via the university) single rooms with private bathroom (and sometimes private kitchen, but personally the shared-kitchen option worked better!) in big residential complexes reserved to students, with additional common facilities, such as laundry rooms or gyms. Prices are affordable if related to the quality of accommodation offered and the multiple facilities and social occasion it provides.
